On the outskirts of Colmar, Eguisheim has received France's highest award for its flower garden plantings. It is also recognized as "one of the most beautiful vallages in France".



Ungersheim is the home of the largest ecomuseum in France. 72 medieval buildings have been moved to the museum to recreate a medieval villages with its farms, smiths, shops, etc. Staff provide reenactments and demonstrations of medieval life and crafts.
